Listening to On-Site Challenges of SMEs
to Strengthen Global Competitiveness in AI
The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on September 18 that it held an on-site 'Visiting Small and Medium Business Corporation' meeting at Ames, located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, to support the innovative growth and advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) companies.
This meeting was organized to visit Ames, a company that develops AI-based insurance claim solutions and is an alumnus of the Youth Startup Academy, in order to encourage AI innovation startups pioneering new markets through entrepreneurship and to listen to feedback directly from the field.
During the meeting, the agenda included an introduction to key AI-related programs by the Small and Medium Business Corporation such as the 'Tech Service Export Voucher,' listening to challenges and suggestions from participants, and discussing support measures for growing into global leading companies.
The participating companies specifically requested institutional improvements, including expanding policy loan support based on technology and business feasibility evaluations, strengthening the graphics processing unit (GPU) infrastructure to enhance competitiveness in the AI industry, and increasing support for export vouchers. The Small and Medium Business Corporation plans to actively incorporate this on-site feedback into future revisions of support programs and the development of new initiatives.
