Since 2000, Hanwha Group has hosted the Seoul International Fireworks Festival every year, based on the social contribution philosophy of "Together, Further," emphasized by Chairman Kim Seungyeon.

This year, Hanwha will extend special invitations to approximately 300 national merit recipients and their families for the Seoul International Fireworks Festival. In addition, starting from the morning of the event day, Hanwha Group affiliates and various other companies will participate in promotional booths and events.

For this year’s Seoul International Fireworks Festival, Hanwha has prepared for all fireworks to be displayed in twin (decalcomania) formations, allowing more spectators to enjoy the show from a wider area. The number of safety management personnel will also be expanded to the largest scale ever. A total of about 3,700 safety management and order maintenance staff, including a volunteer group of approximately 1,200 Hanwha employees, will be deployed, marking an 8.7% increase from last year. Approximately 3.13 billion won will be invested exclusively in pure safety management, including safety-related labor costs and the production of safety equipment.

The "Orange Safety" smart safety management system, which visualizes crowd density based on telecom data, will also be in operation. Through the integrated control room screen and the safety manager mobile app, real-time information on crowd density and the deployment status of safety personnel can be monitored, which will be used to guide crowd dispersal. Additionally, 24 safety CCTVs will be installed in crowded areas for real-time monitoring from the control room.

Hanwha plans to ensure thorough safety management by establishing an integrated control room in cooperation with four Seoul districts, the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and other relevant agencies to enable prompt response.

After the event, a Hanwha volunteer group of approximately 1,200 Hanwha Group employees will conduct a "Clean Campaign," picking up trash and tidying up the event area in Yeouido Hangang Park. The company will also actively encourage voluntary participation from citizens. Through the "10 Minutes Slowly" campaign, which encourages citizens to clean up their surroundings for 10 minutes after the fireworks show, Hanwha aims to foster a culture of a litter-free fireworks festival.

Furthermore, last year, Hanwha commissioned a research team from Chungbuk National University to conduct an air quality environmental impact assessment for the Seoul International Fireworks Festival, and the company continues its efforts for environmental management by using fireworks products that produce less smoke and debris.
