The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Taehee) held the "Integrated Operation School Policy Forum" at the Southern Office conference hall on the 17th. This event was organized jointly by the Office's School Education Policy Division and the Gyeonggi Integrated Operation School Research Association to explore efficient management and development strategies for integrated operation schools.

View original imageMore than 100 participants attended the forum, including students, parents, and staff from integrated operation schools, as well as members of policy consultative bodies and officials from local education support offices. Through mutual communication, they shared the current challenges facing integrated operation schools and agreed to work toward their continued growth.
The main agenda included: ▲An overview of Gyeonggi Integrated Operation School policy initiatives ▲Presentation of research on development strategies for integrated operation schools ▲Sharing of best practices ▲Designated and open discussions.
During the policy initiative overview session, the following were introduced: ▲Communication through meetings and training sessions for integrated operation school members ▲Guidance on how to use the "Integrated Operation School Management and Operation Support Materials," which were jointly developed and distributed by the policy support and practical working groups ▲Plans for selecting research schools for the "2026 Integrated Operation School" project.
In the keynote presentation, Kim Eunjeong, a senior researcher at the Sejong City Office of Education Policy Research Institute, shared research findings on "Key Issues and Directions for the Development of Integrated Operation Schools." This was followed by presentations of best practices in facility, organization, culture, and curriculum management from Baegot Lara Elementary and Middle Integrated Operation School (Principal Lee Sungjae) and Juksan Middle and High Integrated Operation School (Principal Yoo Kwangjong).
During the designated discussion, senior researchers, students, parents, teachers, and supervisors exchanged views on current issues from their respective perspectives. Finally, in the open discussion session, representatives from the integrated operation school working group provided on-the-spot answers to a variety of questions from participants, bringing the forum to a close by addressing their concerns.

Ko Ahyoung, Director of the School Education Bureau at the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "We plan to incorporate the various suggestions made at the forum and develop support measures that can provide practical assistance in the field. We hope that integrated operation schools will become a model for future education, fostering students' continuous growth and holistic development."
