Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byungsoo) has been making continuous efforts to foster a vibrant organizational culture built on communication and harmony. The city held its fourth "Communication Program (Tongtong Day)," where the mayor and employees meet to listen to current issues and challenges facing Gimpo City and exchange views on a variety of topics.

View original imageOn the 15th, the mayor of Gimpo City had lunch with junior employees in grades 8 and 9 from the Comprehensive Permit Department, engaging in an open and free-flowing conversation. Mayor Kim Byungsoo encouraged the employees as they learned and adapted to their permitting work, and discussed desirable organizational culture candidly.
The attending employees introduced the work they are responsible for and shared their everyday experiences, freely expressing both the challenges and the sense of fulfillment they encounter while carrying out their duties.
Employee A remarked, "Now that I am actually working as a public official, I have faced unexpected difficulties, but I also feel a strong sense of achievement and fulfillment. Thanks to the mayor's words of encouragement, I feel I can take on my work with even greater responsibility going forward."
Mayor Kim Byungsoo stated, "The experiences and efforts that employees accumulate in the early stages of their public service careers become an important foundation for their future growth. I will create more opportunities to communicate with employees and become even more approachable."
