Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Shin Sangjin) will continue its dedicated primary care physician medical support program for foster children this year, following last year’s initiative. The program is made possible through a 25 million won sponsorship from HD Hyundai Electric and cooperation with TLC Healthcare Co., Ltd.

View original imageAfter providing medical support to 50 children in group homes last year, the city has expanded the program this year to include 50 foster children, aiming for continuous and systematic health management for children under protection.
The selected children will participate in a comprehensive health checkup program for one year, which includes growth and development assessments, health evaluations, and psychological tests.
They will receive ongoing health management through personalized prescriptions and consultations from their dedicated primary care physician.
This initiative goes beyond a one-time checkup; it includes monthly follow-ups to monitor the children's health status and, if necessary, support for referrals to higher-level hospitals.
