On September 16, the Jeonnam Inspection Bureau of the Audit Committee of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation visited the Munnye Nonghyup in Haenam ahead of the Chuseok holiday. The bureau inspected compliance with food safety and agricultural and livestock product handling standards to ensure that consumers can purchase food with confidence, and urged employees to maintain thorough safety management.

The Jeonnam Inspection Bureau stated that public interest has increased due to a series of recent financial incidents and various safety accidents reported in the media. To prevent accidents that may occur during the vulnerable period before and after the Chuseok holiday, the bureau will conduct a special inspection on food safety and check the implementation of internal controls at local agricultural cooperatives until October 10.

This special inspection will focus on violations such as false or missing origin labeling, products past their consumption (distribution) date, failure to comply with standards for refrigerated and frozen food storage, display and sale of non-compliant products, and unsanitary storage or handling, as well as key items related to internal controls.

Inspector General Pyeon Ji-hyung stated, "We will strengthen food safety and internal control inspections so that consumers can trust and choose Nonghyup, making every effort to ensure safety from finance to the dining table." He added, "For holiday ritual foods and gifts, I hope you will use livelihood recovery consumer coupons and purchase many of our region's agricultural and livestock specialty products."
