View original imageWorld Vision (Chairman Jo Myunghwan) announced on the 16th that its ambassador, actor Gong Myung, has donated 50 million won to be used for Chuseok gifts for children in residential care facilities and for a project to create new spaces within those facilities.
This donation will be used to deliver warm holiday gifts to children in residential care facilities ahead of Chuseok, and to remodel the rooftop area within the facilities, which currently lacks a comfortable space, to create a new shelter where children can rest and share their feelings. Notably, Gong Myung plans to visit the facility in person during the Chuseok holiday and participate in volunteer activities with the children.
Ambassador Gong Myung said, "I wanted to join this effort in the hope that the children will have a warm Chuseok and a space where they can truly relax," adding, "I will continue to do my best to support those in need wherever I can."
Jo Myunghwan, Chairman of World Vision, stated, "With the upcoming Chuseok, I hope that these gifts and the creation of this special shelter will make the holiday a warm memory for the children," and added, "I am deeply grateful to Ambassador Gong Myung for his ongoing interest and support for children in need both in Korea and abroad, and for always standing with World Vision."

Gong Myung first began working with World Vision through a campaign for youth outside of family care in March 2024, and was officially appointed as an ambassador in May of the same year, continuing his commitment to charitable activities. He has also contributed to various causes, including a donation marking his 10th anniversary as an actor, supporting water projects in Bangladesh, and providing medical expenses for young adults preparing for independence. In March 2025, he participated in a campaign supporting children affected by war, alongside fellow artists Jung Geonju, Choi Heejin, Yoon Sohee, and Irene from his agency Saram Entertainment. Most recently, his volunteer work in Uganda, Africa, was featured on the KBS 1TV program "Love Across the Sea Season 4," which aired in July.
