A woman in her 60s is under police investigation after luring an elementary school student to her home near an elementary school in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.
According to the Dongjak Police Station on the 16th, a guardian reported the previous afternoon that "a woman spoke to a child." Responding officers tracked the suspect's movements using closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and apprehended a woman in her 60s, identified as Ms. A.
During police questioning, Ms. A denied the allegations, stating, "The child looked gloomy, so I simply asked, 'Are you sad about something?' and 'Do you want to come to my house with me?' to comfort the child."
