Sokcho Culture and Tourism Foundation to Host "Seoraksan Bookstore Busking" on the 20th
A Special Encounter of Nature and Art
In Collaboration with Seoraksan Bookstore
The Sokcho Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman: Lee Byungseon, Mayor of Sokcho) will host the "Seoraksan Bookstore Busking" on September 20 at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the area around the Seoraksan National Park Office.
This event will be held in conjunction with the "Seoraksan Bookstore," a new type of cultural and arts education program that blends reading and the arts, based on Sokcho's natural environment and culture. Through a special stage where books, music, and performances come together in harmony, it aims to offer a unique artistic experience in nature.
The lineup is also noteworthy. There will be performances featuring classical instruments such as the flute and piano, which blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, as well as a puppet show that presents the story of Ulsanbawi in a modern way.
In particular, this busking event goes beyond simple viewing, creating a cultural space where families can interact with the performers and participate together. The performances set in the natural environment are expected to provide participants with a truly special and moving experience.
An official from the Sokcho Culture and Tourism Foundation stated, "Starting with this busking event, we plan to continuously develop programs that combine nature and culture to invigorate Seorak-dong," adding, "We will attract visitors with a variety of cultural content utilizing the region's unique resources and foster a tourism culture environment that coexists with local residents."
