The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korea Creative Content Agency, and the Korean Cultural Center in Japan announced on September 16 that they held the 'K-Drama & Music Selection Week' in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, from September 4 to 12. The event was organized to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, as well as the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. More than 4,100 local attendees participated, establishing the event as a global K-content festival that encompasses both drama and music.

The 'K-Drama OST Concert,' held over two days from September 4 at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka and Ota Kumin Hall in Tokyo, featured Korean singers Na Yoonkwon, Hong Isak, Woody, and Heun, along with Japanese singers Tomioka Ai and Takeuchi Miyu. They performed signature songs from popular dramas such as 'Hospital Playlist 2,' 'Good Partner,' and 'Unknown Seoul.'

During the four-day 'K-Drama Screening Event' starting on September 9, eight dramas-including this year's Japanese broadcasts and new releases such as 'Good Partner,' 'Check-in Hanyang,' and 'Spring of Four Seasons'-were showcased. The screenings, held at Josho Hall on the Umeda Campus of Osaka Institute of Technology and Hanmadang Hall at the Korean Cultural Center in Japan, attracted 300 attendees per session, totaling more than 2,000 audience members. After the screenings, cast members including Ji Seunghyun, Park Jaechan, Jo Hancheol, and Yang Daehyuk took the stage to share behind-the-scenes stories and interacted with the audience through quizzes and games.

All sessions of this event were offered free of charge, with attendees selected through advance applications and a lottery. Baek Seunghyuk, head of the Osaka Business Center at the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "We were able to expand the stage beyond Tokyo to Osaka and meet local audiences," adding, "We will continue to expand cultural exchanges between Korea and Japan through K-content."
