According to the county on September 15, this campaign was organized to mark Life Sharing Week, which is designated as the second week of September every year. The aim is to raise awareness about the importance of organ and human tissue donation and to promote a culture of respect for life through voluntary participation by county residents.
During the event, promotional leaflets were distributed, and consultations for those wishing to register as organ and human tissue donors were provided. Professional counselors were stationed on-site to offer detailed guidance on donation procedures and methods, helping residents better understand the process.
The county also regularly holds group blood donation events, contributing to solving the problem of blood shortages. Through this campaign, participants were able to empathize with various ways of sharing life and take time to reflect on the value of saving lives through sharing.
Kim Hyunhee, Director of the Shinan Public Health Center, said, "Organ and human tissue donation, as well as blood donation, are meaningful choices that save precious lives. I hope that this campaign will inspire more residents to understand the significance of life sharing and join in spreading the culture of donation."
