With this selection, Pocheon City plans to establish a mid- to long-term strategy to prevent flood damage.
From 2026 to 2029, the city will invest a total project cost of 42.5 billion won, including 31.8 billion won in national and provincial funding, to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to protect the lives and property of citizens from typhoons and heavy rainfall.
In particular, disaster prevention projects such as river maintenance and installation of drainage pump stations will be carried out in the low-lying areas of Sineup-dong, which are prone to frequent flooding during heavy rainfall.
