Seo-gu was selected as an outstanding district by winning the Communication Award at the '2025 Youth-Friendly Legislative Awards'.
The Youth-Friendly Legislative Awards is a system organized by Youth and Future, a non-profit organization under the National Assembly Secretariat, which selects and awards local governments that have contributed to creating a youth-friendly environment through youth policies, legislation, and communication.
Seo-gu systematically plans and implements youth policies through its dedicated department, the Job and Youth Support Division. It also operates youth-exclusive spaces such as the 'Seo-gu Youth Center Plus' and the youth startup platform 'Seo-gu Startup Center', establishing a field-oriented policy foundation.
In addition, through activities of the Seo-gu Youth Policy Participation Group, the district has strengthened its policy proposal function by collecting opinions from young people. The district also supports youth employment by offering customized capacity-building programs through the Youth PI (Personal Identity) School.
Furthermore, through the 'Master Success School', Korea's top masters in baking, pastry, and culinary fields directly nurture young food service entrepreneurs. The district is also expanding the foundation for youth independence by implementing various policies, including a temporary monthly rent support project for young people.
