Paju City Finally Begins Construction of Unjeong Youth Center, a Comprehensive Cultural Facility for Youth
Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 15 that construction has officially begun on the "Unjeong Youth Center," a comprehensive cultural facility for young people.
The Unjeong Youth Center will renovate the senior welfare center on the 4th floor and the unused space on the 7th floor of the Unjeong Happiness Center Welfare Building, transforming a total area of 3,245 square meters across the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 7th floors into a customized youth complex cultural space to be provided to citizens.
The Unjeong Youth Center is set to be established by expanding the currently operating Unjeong Youth Culture House in Paju City. Building on the foundation of the existing youth culture house, the plan is to transform it into a complex facility equipped with specialized programs and tailored spaces to meet the diverse needs and future competency development of local youth, creating a new space that meets the expectations of young people.
Inside the center, spaces dedicated to programs linked to the Fourth Industrial Revolution-such as artificial intelligence (AI), drones, virtual reality (VR), robotics, and coding-will be provided, along with a book cafe, band and dance practice rooms, and a cooking studio. These features are designed to enhance accessibility for youth and offer not only educational programs but also a variety of creative, sports, and club activity programs, allowing young people to enjoy leisure and cultural experiences.
