Hapcheon County Holds Expert Advisory Meeting on Hapcheon History Experience Center Construction

Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 15th that it held the "Hapcheon History Experience Center Construction Advisory Committee" at the Hapcheon Museum.
This advisory committee was formed to ensure the professionalism and feasibility of the Hapcheon History Experience Center construction project currently being promoted by the county. Experts in museums and exhibitions, history, content, and architecture, as well as county officials, attended the meeting.

View original imageThe meeting included a report on the progress to date, an explanation regarding the construction site, and the collection of expert opinions. The results of the advisory meeting will be actively reflected in future feasibility studies and the establishment of the basic plan.
The Hapcheon History Experience Center construction project will invest a total of 6 billion won (3 billion won from the provincial government and 3 billion won from the county budget) from 2024 to 2028. The project will be carried out near the Hapcheon Museum (in the Sangsang-ri area of Ssangchaek-myeon). A new history experience center will be built, equipped with experience and education spaces, an experience zone, and rest areas, to provide diverse historical and cultural experiences for local residents and visitors.

A county official stated, "This advisory committee marks an important first step in clarifying the direction for the construction of the history experience center," adding, "We will widely incorporate the opinions of experts and local residents to promote Hapcheon's history and culture, and create a space that integrates education and hands-on experiences."
