Jointly organized by the Gwangju Social Service Institute and Gwangju Health University, the "Gwangju Social Service Integrated Expo" was held for two days from the 12th to the 13th at the Kim Daejung Convention Center.
Under the theme "Everyday Life Shining Tomorrow," the event showcased social services in seven key areas closely related to citizens' daily lives: welfare, healthcare, education, employment, housing, culture, and environment.
During the event, 85 experience and promotional booths were operated, offering a variety of programs and hands-on counseling and activities tailored to all stages of life. In particular, participation from family visitors stood out. Age-specific booths, such as childcare for children, youth employment counseling, education for middle-aged adults, and leisure programs for seniors, were especially popular.
The healing spaces, photo zones, souvenir giveaways, and prize events at the venue also added vibrancy with active citizen participation. One attendee commented, "It was a meaningful opportunity to experience and understand social services up close in daily life."
