Uijeongbu City’s Expo and Flea Market Successfully Expands Local Business Opportunities

A Participatory Festival Blending Technology, Products, and Hands-On Experiences

Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Donggeun) announced on the 13th that the "2025 Excellent Companies Expo and Flea Market" was held successfully.

This event was organized by the Uijeongbu City Business Support Center and took place at Rodeo Square in Minrak 2 District. It was designed to showcase the technological capabilities and competitive products of outstanding local companies to citizens and to support the development of new sales channels.

A total of 32 companies participated in the event, presenting a variety of products in sectors such as fashion and beauty, food, toys, and household goods. Citizens engaged with the companies' products through hands-on programs, including soap and perfume making, as well as coloring and puzzle activities for children. A prize event sponsored by the companies also received an enthusiastic response.

This year, for the first time, the event was held on a weekend to reflect citizens' feedback, and the venue was moved to Rodeo Square in Minrak 2 District, an area with high foot traffic, to improve accessibility.

The venue was bustling with citizens from various generations, creating a festive atmosphere where local businesses and the community came together.

Mayor Kim Donggeun, who visited the event, said, "Since 2022, we have held this event annually to widely promote the excellent products of Uijeongbu's companies and help them develop new markets. Going forward, we will create an environment where businesses can grow even further, making Uijeongbu a city where companies' dreams can come true and where it is easy to do business."
