Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on September 12 that it has been conducting a comprehensive inspection of registered construction machinery in the city since September 5 to prevent safety accidents and strengthen safety management. This inspection will continue until September 22.
This inspection targets a total of 30 local businesses, including construction machinery rental and sales companies. The main focus is on checking compliance with registration and reporting requirements under the Construction Machinery Management Act, the preparation and storage of lease contracts, documentation and maintenance of parking and storage facilities, and whether there have been any illegal structural modifications or unauthorized rentals.
The city plans to impose administrative measures and file complaints in accordance with relevant laws if violations such as failure to prepare contracts, false entries, or unauthorized business activities are discovered during the inspection process.
