President Lee Appoints Yoon Sungchan, President of the Association of Korean Medicine, as Primary Care Doctor Specializing in Korean Medicine
On September 12, Presidential spokesperson Kang Yujeong announced in a written briefing that President Lee Jaemyung has appointed Yoon Sungchan, President of the Association of Korean Medicine, as his primary care Korean medicine doctor.
President Yoon is a clinical Korean medicine doctor with 32 years of experience, having graduated from Suncheon High School and the College of Korean Medicine at Wonkwang University. He has served as the director of Yoon Korean Medicine Clinic, adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Korean Medicine at Wonkwang University, president of the Gyeonggi-do Association of Korean Medicine, and a member of the Special Committee on Medical Reform. He is currently an adjunct professor at both Wonkwang University and Woosuk University, the head of the Korean branch of the International Society of Oriental Medicine, and a member of the National Rights Commission's Committee for the Protection of the Rights of the Vulnerable.

Spokesperson Kang stated, "President Yoon, who holds a doctorate in Korean medicine, has received the Suwon City Health and Medical Award, the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Commendation, and the Minister of Health and Welfare's Commendation." She added, "He recently received the 'Oriental Medicine Leader Award Shining Light on the World' in Taiwan."
