MIC Donates 20 Million Won Scholarship
Daegu Youngjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung), which has established itself as the top university for overseas employment, announced on September 10 that it held the "2025 Overseas Employment Fair" this year as well, actively supporting its students in securing jobs at global companies and building a strong network with overseas businesses.
The "2025 Overseas Employment Fair," held at the college's Bokhyeon Campus from September 9 to 10, featured 17 Japanese companies from the IT, machinery, electronics, and service sectors visiting Korea. These companies conducted recruitment interviews, company presentations, and special lectures for approximately 200 students from Youngjin College's overseas employment program.

This year's event drew significant attention with the participation of a diverse range of Japanese companies, including Hakkou Automation (automation equipment manufacturing), Koka Gear Works (gear manufacturing), Japan Fitto (waterproof panel and construction equipment manufacturing), Chikuho Industry (disaster prevention materials manufacturing), Kyushu Staff (IT services), H&S Partners (talent management consulting and services), Global Shine (talent services), Braiza (mechanical and electronic talent services), TechnoPro Design (mechanical design and manufacturing), MIC (printing equipment manufacturing and product marketing), CAL (talent services), ISFNET (IT networking), and Alps Kiyen (mechanical and electronic talent services).
Both in-person and virtual recruitment interviews and company presentations were held, with each company's HR representatives directly introducing their corporate vision and hiring requirements. Students actively showcased their majors and competencies through one-on-one interviews with each company, and some even secured job offers on the spot.
In particular, Kazuo Ono, CEO of Hakkou Automation, delivered a special lecture on "Global Talent Needed by Japanese Companies," clearly outlining the core values and work attitudes sought by Japanese employers. This provided students with practical insights for developing their own job search strategies.
During the Korea-Japan industry-academia cooperation meeting held during the event, representatives from overseas companies and university officials engaged in in-depth discussions on long-term cooperation models, such as joint curriculum development based on international customized education, expansion of on-site internships, and scholarship donations.
Additionally, representatives from Japanese companies visited Daesung Hi-Tech, a leading company in Daegu, on the morning of September 10 to directly observe the competitiveness of local industry and explore avenues for Korea-Japan business cooperation.
This overseas employment fair saw participation from students in a variety of majors, including Computer Information, AI Convergence Machinery, Semiconductor Electronics, Hotel Aviation Tourism, and Global System Convergence. These students learned about the talent profiles and job competencies sought by Japanese companies and developed concrete job search strategies by linking this information to their own majors.
Meanwhile, MIC donated a scholarship of 20 million won on September 9 in recognition of Youngjin College's talent development efforts. The company has hired nine graduates from 2022 to this year. Hakkou Automation, which donated 100 million won in scholarships last year, is also taking the lead in educational cooperation, further strengthening the sustainable partnership between the university and companies.
Over the past nine years, Youngjin College has produced a total of 866 overseas job placements, with 810 graduates advancing to Japan. Graduates have also found opportunities in countries such as Australia, the United States, China, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Jeon Sangpyo, Director of International Exchange at Youngjin College, stated, "The Overseas Employment Fair has provided students with opportunities to challenge themselves on the global stage, while also allowing participating companies to meet outstanding global talent. We will continue to actively support more students in realizing their dreams on the world stage."
