Boeing Appoints Alain Garcia as Head of Korea Defense Sector
Alain Garcia has been appointed as the Head of Korea Defense Sector at Boeing. Garcia will be responsible for Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Boeing Global Services in Korea.

View original imageAccording to Boeing on September 10, Garcia is a former U.S. Navy pilot with expertise in combat and training on a variety of aircraft, including the F/A-18. He has accumulated more than 17 years of experience at Boeing. He has led extensive global business development while serving in leadership roles for Boeing in countries such as India, Finland, Switzerland, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman, and Singapore.
With his deep understanding of military aviation and training, as well as his proven capabilities in defense business development, Garcia is expected to play a key role in further advancing the partnership between Boeing and Korea. Boeing stated that he will also lead Boeing’s defense and government services business in Korea, strengthening existing customer relationships and enhancing collaboration with partner companies.
Will Shaffer, President of Boeing Korea, said, “The appointment of Alain Garcia is especially meaningful as it coincides with the celebration of Boeing’s 75-year partnership with the Republic of Korea. Going forward, Alain will play a central role in connecting Boeing’s defense and government services to the evolving needs of the Korean military, driving continued growth and cooperation.”
