Pro Gamer Chovy Donates 20 Million Won to Support Gangneung Amid Severe Drought
Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Lim Chaecheong) announced on September 8 that professional League of Legends gamer Chovy (real name Jeong Jihoon) has donated 20 million won to support drought relief efforts in Gangneung.
This donation will be used to help Gangneung secure daily water supplies as the city struggles with prolonged drought conditions.
Chovy has consistently practiced sharing by making donations at major disaster sites, including helping neighbors affected by floods and typhoons in 2023, supporting the bereaved families of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident in 2025, and providing emergency relief for wildfire victims in North Gyeongsang, South Gyeongsang, and Ulsan in 2025. With this latest donation, his cumulative contributions to Hope Bridge now total 70 million won.
