This year, seven affiliates participated, including OCI Holdings, OCI Corporation (the operating company), OCI Power, OCI Information & Communications, OCI Dream (the standard workplace for people with disabilities), OCI SE (Saemangeum Combined Heat and Power Plant), and Bukwang Pharmaceutical, reaffirming the significance of meaningful sharing.
Now in its 11th year, the "Harmony Marathon with the Visually Impaired" is a marathon and walking event where people with and without disabilities come together to interact and promote social awareness and understanding of disabilities. On the day of the event, 49 guide runners started from the square in front of Peace Park, passed through Sky Park and Noeul Park, and completed either the 10 km or 5 km course to the turnaround point at Nanji Camping Site, running with visually impaired marathoners while connecting their wrists with a specially designed Trust String.
Other participants, including marathon beginners and families with children, joined by lightly running or walking the 5 km course, while employees who did not participate in the marathon served as event staff and took part in plogging activities (picking up litter while walking or jogging) to help clean up the surrounding environment.
