Musinsa announced on the 8th that its own cosmetics brand, Oddtype, will enter the Southeast Asian market following Japan.
Earlier this year, Oddtype signed a contract with Guardian Malaysia, a health and beauty store in Malaysia. Guardian is a comprehensive retail chain operating across major Southeast Asian countries and is a leading health and beauty store in Malaysia with over 500 locations.

Musinsa plans to expand to around 100 stores by the first half of next year. Oddtype will offer its full lineup of 28 products at Guardian stores, including its popular Unseen Balloon Tint, as well as So Touchable Water Blush, Unveiled Skin Highlighter, and Unseen Dew Glow Balm.
This marks Oddtype’s second global offline expansion. After entering the Japanese market last year, Oddtype was launched in LOFT and PLAZA, the largest lifestyle stores in Japan. The brand has also expanded its presence by starting sales at Atcosme, the leading beauty multi-shop channel. Online, Oddtype is available on Amazon in the United States, and it is scheduled to officially launch on the global beauty platform Stylevana later this month.

A Musinsa representative stated, "It is unusual for a brand’s entire product lineup to be available from the initial launch. This achievement demonstrates that Oddtype’s sophisticated concept and distinctive product quality have been recognized in the local market. Building on our entry into the Southeast Asian market, we plan to accelerate our expansion into global distribution channels, including Singapore and Thailand."
