The Korea Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka Expo has surpassed a cumulative total of 2 million visitors, establishing itself as one of the most popular national pavilions.

On September 7, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced the cumulative visitor count for the Korea Pavilion. After reaching 1 million visitors in just 71 days since opening on April 13, the pavilion recorded 2 million visitors as of September 6, marking the milestone in 76 days. During the same period, the total number of Expo visitors reached 17.55 million, meaning that one out of every nine visitors stopped by the Korea Pavilion.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by KOTRA, the Korea Pavilion features an interactive exhibition under the theme "With Hearts," blending cutting-edge technology and cultural content. With a variety of programs such as traditional performances, K-pop stages, and themed forums receiving enthusiastic responses, the waiting time for entry has increased to as much as two hours since the summer season.

This Expo is being held in the same region for the first time in 55 years since 1970. The Korea Pavilion was designed to highlight the nation’s industrial and cultural development over the past half-century, as well as its solidarity with the international community. It is also serving as a venue for industrial and cultural cooperation, especially in conjunction with the recent Korea-Japan summit.

Visits from prominent international figures have continued. Princess Takamado of Japan, Matt Murray, U.S. State Department APEC Ambassador, Douglas Alexander, UK Minister of State for Trade and Business, Eduardo Frei, former President of Chile, and Dimitri Kerkentzes, Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions, have all visited the Korea Pavilion to experience Korea’s technology and culture.

The pavilion has also attracted significant media attention both domestically and internationally. Major foreign media outlets such as The New York Times and Singapore’s CNA, as well as local Japanese media, have introduced the Korea Pavilion as a "must-see national pavilion." So far, about 170 journalists have visited for coverage.

Park Younghwan, Director of the Korea Pavilion, stated, "Visitor turnout has remained steady since opening," adding, "We will use this opportunity to actively promote Korea’s culture and technology until the last day of operation on October 13."
