Localized Heavy Showers Hit Gasi-ri in Southern Mid-Mountain Area of Jeju
Flood damage occurred in some areas of Jeju due to localized heavy showers.
According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters, at around 3:57 p.m. on September 5, a report was received that a mid-mountain road near Darabiorum in Gasi-ri, Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo City, had been flooded.
Fire authorities guided stranded vehicles to safety and subsequently took safety measures for the affected road.

In Gasi-ri, a mid-mountain area in southern Jeju, 79.5 mm of rain fell in just one hour from 2:28 p.m. As of 5:00 p.m., rainfall measurements in Jeju included 94.5 mm in Gasi-ri, 61 mm in Seongpanak on Hallasan Mountain, and 41.3 mm in Wasan.
