This agreement was established to jointly address challenges faced by the local community, including early diagnosis and prevention of dementia, integration of medical and welfare services, and the development of policies to respond to population decline.
Under the agreement, the two institutions plan to collaborate on the following: public interest projects and pilot services for early diagnosis and prevention of dementia; operation and integration of medical and welfare projects based in Damyang County; identification and attraction of government elderly welfare and financial support projects; and the development of programs and research to address population decline.
With this agreement, the county aims to strengthen early screening, registration management, family support, and dementia management programs centered on the Dementia Relief Center, while also implementing population policies such as support for youth and family settlement, to create a healthy and vibrant local community.
Kim Choonseong, President of Chosun University, stated, "This is a meaningful occasion to return the university's human and academic resources to the local community," and added, "We will actively cooperate to address the challenges of dementia prevention and population issues."
