KB Asset Management Supports Rehabilitation Therapy for Children with Developmental Disabilities... "Hope Walking Campaign"
Employees of KB Asset Management are joining forces to support rehabilitation therapy for children with developmental disabilities.
On September 4, KB Asset Management announced that it had delivered donations raised through its employee participation social contribution program, the "Hope Walking Campaign," to Gyonam Somang House, a care facility for people with developmental disabilities.
The campaign was organized to encourage sharing through employees' participation in walking. When employees collectively reached 10 million steps, the company donated 10 million won for rehabilitation therapy for children with developmental disabilities.
With the enthusiastic participation of employees, the target number of steps was achieved ahead of schedule. The funds raised are being used to cover rehabilitation therapy costs such as speech therapy and sensory integration therapy for children with developmental disabilities. The campaign is also meaningful in that it promotes a low-carbon lifestyle through walking.
Gyonam Somang House is a social welfare facility that supports the stability and rehabilitation of people with disabilities. Since July last year, KB Asset Management has been running the "Developmental Disability Children Value-Up Project" with Gyonam Somang House to provide rehabilitation therapy and various activities needed during the growth period.
Kim Youngseong, CEO of KB Asset Management, stated, "This 'Hope Walking Campaign,' which allowed us to practice both health and sharing, is especially meaningful because it was achieved through the voluntary participation of our employees," adding, "KB Asset Management will continue to fulfill its social responsibility by practicing the values of care and mutual growth."
