The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s who posted a bomb threat against Shinsegae Duty Free on Instagram.
The Seoul Namdaemun Police Station announced on September 3 that it had applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of public intimidation after he posted a bomb threat against Shinsegae Duty Free on a social networking service (SNS).
Mr. A was urgently arrested at his home in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, on the afternoon of the same day he wrote the comment on Instagram stating, "I will bomb Shinsegae Duty Free."

Earlier, after receiving a report from Shinsegae, the police searched Shinsegae Duty Free locations in Myeong-dong and in the restricted areas of Incheon Airport's Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, but no explosives were found.
