Seo-gu, Gwangju to Operate "After-Work Rest Class" Every Thursday
Running Until October
Fostering a "Healthy Organizational Culture"
Seo-gu District in Gwangju will operate the "After-Work Rest Class," a stress management program for employees, every Thursday at the Eum Hall in the Seo-gu District Office starting from September 4.
According to Seo-gu District on September 3, the "After-Work Rest Class" was introduced as part of efforts to foster a healthy organizational culture, providing employees with opportunities for work-life balance and self-development. The program reflects suggestions from "Fun on Work," a research group of Millennials & Gen Z public officials.
This program will be held seven times in total until October. In September, under the theme "Emotional & Taste Class for Myself," participants will experience activities such as finding their personal color and making Moru doll keyrings. In October, under the theme "Nature & Eco-Friendly Class for the Earth," hands-on art activities such as making zero-waste shampoo bars and horticultural therapy will be offered.
Previously, Seo-gu District held a total of 12 "Rest Class" sessions during lunchtime in the first half of the year, receiving high satisfaction ratings exceeding 90% in participant surveys. In particular, the group PT sessions aimed at improving "turtle neck syndrome" attracted significant interest from the pre-registration stage, leading to the addition and operation of two more classes.
