Mokpo Maritime Police Urgently Arrest Man in His 50s for Stabbing Colleague on Blue Crab Fishing Vessel
A crew member aboard a blue crab fishing vessel stabbed a colleague with a weapon off the coast of Jindo, South Jeolla Province.
According to the Mokpo Maritime Police Station on September 3, the maritime police urgently arrested a man in his 50s, referred to as Mr. A, on charges of attempted murder for injuring a colleague on board the previous day. At around 7:57 p.m. that day, Mr. A allegedly got into a verbal altercation with another crew member in his 50s, Mr. B, aboard the same vessel in the waters near Gasado, Jindo County, and attacked him with a weapon, injuring his abdomen.
The victim, Mr. B, sustained a stab wound about 1 centimeter in size and was immediately transported to a hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
