Gyeonggi Province Holds "Welcome to Gyeonggi" Event for 80 Newly Transferred Officials
On September 2, Gyeonggi Province held the "Welcome to Gyeonggi" educational and welcoming event at Dasan Hall in the Gwanggyo Government Complex in Suwon for 80 government officials who have recently transferred or are scheduled to transfer to the provincial government.
"Welcome to Gyeonggi" is a program introduced for the first time in the first half of this year. It was designed to welcome newly transferred officials who will become the new driving force of the provincial administration and to enhance their identity and pride as public servants.
The event began with a welcome speech by Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs Kim Sungjung, followed by a special lecture on key provincial policies by Planning Director Park Hyunseok, and a lecture on the history of Gyeonggi Province by Dr. Yoo Hyunju. Participants shared the vision and core values of Gyeonggi Province and reflected on their roles as public officials.

View original imageAfterwards, the General Affairs and Human Resources Divisions provided guidance on welfare, work regulations, and personnel systems. A talk concert was also held, featuring Director of Local Administration Cho Byungrae and five senior officials as panelists.
The event included a welcome performance by Gyeonggi Province’s character "Bonggong-i," a vision paper unveiling, and a commemorative photo session. In addition, a "Welcome Kit" containing essential office supplies for work was distributed.
