TIGER US S&P500 ETF Surpasses 9 Trillion Won in Net Assets
Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on September 2 that the net asset value of the "TIGER US S&P500 ETF" has surpassed 9 trillion won.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of the closing price on September 1, the net asset value of the TIGER US S&P500 ETF stood at 9.1209 trillion won. This makes it the largest among all domestic ETFs and the biggest S&P500-tracking ETF listed in Asia.
Recently, as the US S&P500 Index continues its strong performance and hits record highs, investor interest in the TIGER US S&P500 ETF has been growing. As of September 1, the cumulative net purchases by individual investors since the beginning of the year amounted to 1.3825 trillion won, ranking first among all ETFs listed in Korea.
The buying trend for the TIGER US S&P500 ETF is expected to continue in the second half of this year. This is due to the growth of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry, robust earnings from major technology stocks, and persistent expectations for interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve. The TIGER US S&P500 ETF is regarded not as a short-term investment vehicle, but as a long-term investment option that offers both stable growth focused on large-cap US stocks and diversification benefits, so steady interest from individual investors is anticipated.
Mirae Asset Global Investments is holding an installment investment event for its TIGER US flagship index ETFs.
