Korea-US Joint K-Pop Show "K-Pop Demon Hunters" Ranks 4th on Apple TV+
The Apple TV+ original global music competition series "K-Pop Demon Hunters," co-produced by CJ ENM and the U.S.-based Eureka Productions, is receiving an enthusiastic response worldwide.
According to the global streaming ranking site FlixPatrol's data as of August 30, "K-Pop Demon Hunters" ranked fourth in the Apple TV+ Global Top TV Shows category and fifth in the United States. It placed in the top three in major Asian markets such as Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, and entered the top ten in 99 countries including the United Kingdom, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia. On the domestic streaming platform Tving, it ranked first in real-time popular content within the "Apple TV+ Brand Section."
International media have also given it high praise. Billboard in the United States commented, "Global stars come together to deliver sincere and awe-inspiring musical connections," while the K-Pop media outlet KCrush described it as "a fresh and powerful live performance festival that global fans can all enjoy."
All eight episodes of "K-Pop Demon Hunters" were released on August 29. The show features K-Pop artists and international pop stars forming teams to complete performances within a limited time through practice and rehearsals. The winning team is determined by audience votes at the live event held in Seoul, and each episode concludes with a finale performance by a K-Pop group.
