Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Opens "Children's Dietary Education Center" with 15 Activity Zones
Yeonsu-gu, Incheon has established the "Children's Dietary Education Center" on the third floor of the Cheonghak-dong Yeonsu Sports Promotion Complex Building to help children develop healthy eating habits and support their growth. The center officially opened for operation on September 1.
The education center spans approximately 330 square meters and consists of eight zones with a total of 15 different activities, allowing children to naturally learn about habits, nutritional balance, and food safety through play and hands-on experiences.
Main areas include a video experience zone, a dental health zone, a digestive system exploration zone, a nutrition zone, a healthy growth zone, and a cooking class that stimulates all five senses, all centered around the themes of food, hygiene, and safety. Notably, the center plans to run a cooking class designed to prevent picky eating, where children can see and touch ingredients such as vegetables and naturally develop healthy eating habits.
The center is operated by the Yeonsu-gu Meal Service Management Support Center, and is available to groups of children aged 2 to 12 from daycare centers, kindergartens, and local children's centers registered with the center.
