Kyowon Wells Launches Mineral Hwangto Soil Mat in Collaboration with Heukpyo Heukchindae
Provides Soil Bed-Level Heating Performance
While Lowering the Price Barrier
Kyowon Wells announced on September 1 that it has launched the 'Mineral Hwangto Soil Mat' in collaboration with the health bed brand Heukpyo Heukchindae.
The Mineral Hwangto Soil Mat is a topper-style product that offers the same level of heating performance as a soil bed, while being more accessible and affordable.
When heated, hwangto (yellow soil) emits far-infrared rays. These rays help promote blood circulation in the body, maintain body temperature, relieve fatigue, and alleviate pain such as muscle aches.
The soil mat contains 10.5 kg of domestically produced hwangto balls, achieving 90% of the content found in a queen-size soil bed. It emits the same amount of far-infrared rays as a soil bed, effectively raising body temperature, but is priced 78% lower than a soil bed.
The design was handled by Kyowon Wells. Incorporating its own mattress design expertise, the company reinterpreted the traditional and heavy image of soil beds into a modern and sophisticated style. The hexagonal stitching, which represents minerals, and the two-tone color reminiscent of the warmth of soil, create an elegant atmosphere that fits naturally in both bedrooms and living rooms.
The product is also equipped with user-friendly features. It provides separate heating for the left and right sides and allows temperature adjustments in 1°C increments to suit different lifestyles. The sleep mode automatically adjusts the temperature according to sleep rhythms, supporting a good night's rest.
Its quality and safety have also been verified. It uses eco-friendly microfiber fabric that has obtained the global textile quality certification 'OEKO-TEX', and its durability has been proven through 220,000 abrasion tests. The mat has also passed tests for harmful substances such as radon and formaldehyde.
