Promoting Awareness of Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention
A Month-Long Campaign to Encourage Healthy Habits Among Citizens
Mokpo City in South Jeolla Province is launching the "Know Your Vascular Numbers - Red Circle Campaign."
The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and to promote healthy habits by encouraging citizens to know and manage their blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels.
During the campaign period, the city will operate promotional booths and conduct street campaigns for university students and local residents at Mokpo National Maritime University and the Mokpo Marine Cable Car area. On-site, services for measuring blood pressure and blood sugar will be provided, and the nine key rules for preventing and managing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases will be actively promoted.
In addition, health lectures will be offered at the Hadang Senior Welfare Center and Mokpo City Senior Welfare Center to strengthen citizens' motivation to practice healthy management.
Alongside these efforts, the city will continuously promote prevention guidelines and health management methods through its official website and social media channels, aiming to foster a culture of healthy living throughout the community.

A city official stated, "Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases can affect anyone, but prevention and early management are crucial," adding, "We especially hope that people in their 20s to 40s will take an active interest in their health and participate enthusiastically in the campaign."
