Catholic Art Award and More
"Young Artist Award" and "Achievement Award" Presented Together
The Committee for Culture and Arts of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea announced on August 29 that it will be accepting submissions for the 29th Catholic Art Award until October 31.
Since establishing the Catholic Art Award in 1995 to promote the development and localization of Catholic art in Korea, the Committee for Culture and Arts of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea has been selecting and awarding outstanding artists and works that have significantly contributed to the advancement of sacred art by elevating the liturgy and the spirit of faith communities within the Korean Catholic Church.
Additionally, the committee presents the "Young Artist Award," which recognizes creative works by talented artists under the age of 45 who are expected to further expand the foundation of Catholic art in Korea, as well as the "Achievement Award," which is given to artists who have made significant contributions to Catholic art in Korea regardless of category.
