Jungnang District has been at the forefront of spreading a culture of gender equality by hosting annual commemorative ceremonies and experiential programs.
This year's commemorative ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on September 4 in the underground main auditorium of Jungnang District Office. In the first part of the event, awards will be presented to 10 individuals who have contributed to gender equality and to 5 outstanding departments that have helped create a women-friendly city.
The second part will feature a special lecture by Professor Park Jisun on "The Psychology of Stalking and Dating Violence Through Case Studies." The lecture will provide an understanding of gender-based violence and present appropriate response strategies.
In addition to the commemorative ceremony, the district will collaborate with more than 20 organizations and groups, including the Jungnang District Gender Equality Activity Center, to hold community events across the district from August 27 to September 10. Various cultural programs such as forums, film festivals, exhibitions, and lectures will be offered, allowing residents to participate directly and experience the value of gender equality.
