Pyeongtaek City to Support Card Payment Fees for Local Currency Merchants

4,867 Merchants to Benefit
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on August 28 that it will provide support for card payment fees to merchants affiliated with the local currency, the "Pyeongtaek Sarang Card," in order to ease the management burden on small business owners.
The supported fees are card payment fees incurred from January to June of this year, with support of up to 500,000 won. However, payments under 5,000 won are excluded.
The total number of eligible merchants for this support is 4,867, and the total payment amount is approximately 126 million won. The supported fees will be automatically deposited into the merchants' settlement accounts by early next month without any separate application process.
