Ulsan Ulju County Completely Revamps 'Ulju Landscape Chronicle' Website... Major Improvements to Search Speed and UI
Ulju County in Ulsan has completely revamped the 'Ulju Landscape Chronicle' website, allowing users to easily view changes in the local landscape at a glance.
The Ulju Landscape Chronicle is a project that systematically documents and preserves the urban landscape based on the 'Ulju County Landscape Ordinance.' The project collects data through ground and drone aerial photography, with the first phase conducted from 2015 to 2017, and the second phase underway from 2023 through this year.
With this revamp, over 1,000 photos taken over the past two years have been newly released. In particular, user convenience has been greatly enhanced by simplifying the menu structure, strengthening search and filtering functions, and improving map search speed. Responsive web technology has also been applied to provide optimized screens for PCs, mobile devices, and tablets.
The website has been reorganized into four menus: Project Introduction, Ulju's Landscape, Ulju's Records, and Map Search. In the 'Ulju's Landscape' section, users can compare photos from the first and second phases to observe changes over a five-year period, while the 'Ulju's Records' section features old photos of Ulju from the 1900s, as well as images of symbols and festivals.
The design has also been updated to reflect the latest trends, incorporating one-page scrolling and animation effects for an intuitive user interface. A new 'User Feedback' section has been added to every page, allowing visitor comments to be reflected in real time.

The official added, "We hope it will become a representative record encompassing the region's history, culture, and natural landscape."
