Key elements include: a customized hydrogen ecosystem strategy reflecting the characteristics of the Paju region; an integrated process plan for hydrogen production facilities; and sector-specific hydrogen utilization plans for transportation, industry, and daily life.
Based on this plan, the city intends to build infrastructure in phases and establish a hydrogen economy ecosystem where the production, supply, and utilization of hydrogen form a virtuous cycle.
As the first phase of the project, by June 2027, the city will establish hydrogen production facilities in conjunction with the modernization of the Environmental Circulation Center. Through this, Paju plans to produce 500 kilograms of clean hydrogen per day, creating an eco-friendly model that simultaneously achieves greenhouse gas reduction and resource circulation.
