Eastern Gyeongnam Safety and Health Group Holds Heat Illness Prevention Campaign at Nexen Tire

for Worker Protection Conducted
The Safety and Health Practice Group of Eastern Gyeongnam (headed by Kwon Guhyung, Director of the Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor) conducted a joint heat illness prevention campaign for on-site workers at the Nexen Tire workplace in Yangsan on August 27, in collaboration with Dong-A Otsuka and the Gyeongnam Provincial Government.
This campaign was carried out as part of the "Safe Workplace Project," aiming to protect the health of workers vulnerable to heat waves and to strengthen workplace response capabilities.
On site, education on heat illness prevention measures and first aid was provided, and a hands-on training booth was set up to offer practical safety and health experiences. Participants were also given ion drinks and portable cooling towels.

Director Kwon Guhyung emphasized, "Through this joint public-private campaign, I hope that the five basic rules for preventing heat illness in workplaces will be thoroughly observed," adding, "We will continue our efforts to ensure that worker safety becomes the top priority."
