Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Namchul Lee) hosted the 'Goryeong Ancient City Development Academy Special Lecture' at Ureuk Hall in Daegaya Culture Nuri on August 26, inviting Professor Hyunjun Yoo, one of Korea's leading architects.

View original imageThis special lecture was organized to widely promote the historical status and value of Goryeong, which was newly designated as a nationally recognized ancient city this year, and to discuss with local residents the direction of urban development where tradition and modernity coexist.
Professor Hyunjun Yoo delivered a lecture titled 'What is a City?' with the subtitle 'Space and People, Tradition and Coexistence in a Historic City.' He offered deep insights into the impact of cities and architecture on people's lives and society, as well as the future vision of Goryeong as a historic city, drawing significant interest from the local community.
More than 400 people, including local residents, students, and officials, attended the event. After the lecture, there was a Q&A session and a commemorative photo opportunity, providing a chance for Governor Lee to communicate directly with the community.
