SK Hynix Holds 'AI for Impact' Forum...Exploring Ways to Create Social Value with AI
SK Hynix announced on the 26th that it held the 'AI for Impact' Forum, which discussed solutions to social issues using AI technology, at the '2nd Korea Social Value Festa' held at COEX in Seoul over two days starting from the 25th.
Hosted by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the event brought together companies, academia, and the general public to address major social issues such as the climate crisis, digital transformation, and regional inequality. SK Hynix shared cases of creating social value based on AI technology in a separate session.
The forum consisted of case presentations and discussions, featuring participation from social enterprises and citizen scientists. Various outstanding cases were introduced, including AI-powered safety map services, support for webtoon creation by deaf artists, climate indicator species monitoring, and diagnosis of residual value in electric vehicle batteries.
The panel discussion, moderated by Lee Bangsil, Executive Vice President in charge of SV at SK Hynix, included representatives from Microsoft, Forest for Life, Superbin, and AI Works, who discussed the potential of utilizing AI technology to solve social problems.
Through its exhibition booth, SK Hynix unveiled its 'AI-based Social Value Creation' strategy and introduced programs such as a biodiversity AI monitoring experience app, AI education, social safety net initiatives, and donation matching programs.
