The Special Prosecutor's Team for Insurrection (Special Prosecutor Cho Eunseok) conducted a search and seizure operation on August 26 in connection with suspicions of involvement in martial law, targeting the Korea Coast Guard and related locations.
Starting at 9 a.m. on the same day, the special prosecutor's team carried out search and seizure operations at three locations: the Korea Coast Guard headquarters, the official residence of former Coast Guard Planning and Coordination Officer Ahn Seongsik, and his private residence.
It is reported that the special prosecutor's team has booked former Officer Ahn as a suspect on charges of participating in insurrection.

The team is said to have obtained evidence indicating that former Officer Ahn actively advocated for arming with firearms and refurbishing detention facilities during the December 3 Martial Law last year, and attempted to participate in the insurrection.
