Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority to Hold 2nd Corporate Field Forum... Key Issues in Climate and Energy
Topic Selected with Tenant Companies Association, Applications Open Until September 1
Strategies for Responding to the New Government's Climate and Energy Agenda at a Single Venue
The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Sungho) will hold the "2nd BJFEZ Corporate Field Forum" at 7:00 a.m. on September 2 at the Video Seminar Room of the National Assembly Busan Library.
This forum, under the theme "Current Status of the New Government's National Agenda on Climate and Energy and Responses from Businesses and Local Communities," aims to enhance corporate understanding of key national policy tasks such as responding to the climate crisis and energy transition, and to seek tailored response strategies for businesses.
At the 1st forum held in June, the theme was "Support Policies for the Supply and Settlement Environment of Foreign Workers in Busan and Gyeongnam." At that event, systems for supporting foreign labor in Busan and Gyeongnam, visa operation procedures, and best practices for improving settlement environments were shared, drawing significant interest and empathy from participating tenant companies.
The topic of this 2nd forum was selected based on feedback from tenant companies, gathered through a roundtable with the BJFEZ Tenant Companies Association (Chairman Lee Sutae), in response to the need for corporate-level strategies regarding the new government's climate and energy policies.
Kim Jongik, Chairman of Sangsaengnamu and an expert in climate and energy policy, will participate as a speaker, introducing the new government's major national policy directions and leading an in-depth discussion on the roles and response strategies of businesses and local communities.
In particular, the forum will address the challenges and new opportunities facing the industrial sector in achieving carbon neutrality and responding to the climate crisis, focusing on practical topics closely related to business management.
This forum is expected to serve as a platform for communication to support sustainable growth and strategy development for businesses, with active participation anticipated not only from tenant companies but also from relevant organizations.
Companies and stakeholders wishing to participate can register through the QR code included in the official poster on the BJFEZ website by September 1.

Commissioner Park Sungho emphasized, "The climate and energy sectors are core issues directly linked to the future competitiveness of businesses. This forum is an opportunity to discuss and seek practical response measures to the national challenges of addressing the climate crisis and energy transition together with our tenant companies. BJFEZ will continue to strengthen field-oriented communication with the Tenant Companies Association and expand effective programs to support sustainable business management.
