[Invest&Law] DaeRyukAju to Hold Webinar Offering Advice on Prevention and Response to Workplace Bullying and Sexual Harassment
Webinar on August 27
Case-Based Guidance for Corporate HR and Legal Professionals
DaeRyukAju Law Firm (Managing Partner Lee Gyuchul) will hold a webinar on August 27 under the theme of "Prevention and Response to Workplace Bullying and Sexual Harassment."
Although it has been six years since the amended Labor Standards Act, which prohibits workplace bullying, came into effect in July 2019, incidents of workplace bullying continue to occur, such as the death of MBC weathercaster Oh Yoanna. In response, the National Assembly is now pursuing measures to expand the scope of the law to include freelancers and specially employed workers. Recently, after President Lee Jaemyung strongly criticized, via social media, a case of bullying against a foreign worker at a brick factory as "an intolerable act of violence and a violation of human rights," workplace bullying has emerged as a major management issue for companies, alongside serious industrial accidents.
Accordingly, the DaeRyukAju C&C (Criminal & Compliance) Group has organized the webinar for HR, legal, and audit professionals who handle workplace bullying and sexual harassment cases in corporate settings.
During the webinar, experts will provide detailed explanations based on specific cases, including: △ in what situations workplace bullying and sexual harassment can be recognized, and △ how to prevent workplace bullying and sexual harassment. They will also offer advice on △ what actions should be taken if an incident occurs, and △ what practical points should be considered regarding the relief procedure.
