LIG Donates Support Funds for Young Adults Preparing for Independence to World Vision
World Vision (President Cho Myunghwan) announced on August 26 that LIG Corporation (CEO Choi Yongjun) has donated 55 million KRW for the 'Self-help' program supporting young adults preparing for independence.
The donated funds are part of LIG Corporation's ongoing sponsorship project for young adults preparing for independence, which has been running continuously for five years since 2021. With this year's donation, the total cumulative sponsorship has surpassed 200 million KRW.
This year's donation is the largest since LIG Corporation began supporting young adults preparing for independence in 2021, reflecting the company's steady annual increase in sponsorship amounts. The funds will be used to provide practical support for housing expenses, living costs, educational fees, the purchase of home appliances and furniture, and psychological treatment for these young adults. Notably, this year, a gift kit including vouchers will also be provided.
Choi Yongjun, CEO of LIG Corporation, stated, "We hope that this support will go beyond temporary assistance to provide real help for the stability and independence of young adults leaving protective facilities. We will continue to show our support and interest so that these young adults can overcome real-life challenges and pursue their dreams."
