Taihan Electric Wire Secures Ultra-High Voltage Projects Worth Total 220 Billion KRW in Qatar
On August 26, Taihan Electric Wire announced that it has secured a project worth 180 billion KRW to build an ultra-high voltage power grid from the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation.
This project involves expanding the transmission system to ensure stable delivery of electricity produced at a large-scale desalination combined power plant to all regions of Qatar.
Taihan Electric Wire will be responsible for the entire process-from design, production, laying, connection, to testing-of the local ultra-high voltage power grid at 400kV (kilovolts) and 220kV, under a full turnkey contract.
Previously, on August 21, Taihan Electric Wire also won a 40 billion KRW ultra-high voltage power grid project in Qatar, also under a full turnkey arrangement.
Qatar is regarded as a market that demands the highest level of technological expertise among Middle Eastern countries. In particular, for ultra-high voltage power grid full turnkey projects, rigorous evaluations are conducted across all areas, including quality, technology, engineering, and project management.
